46 years of passion for forging

The end of April saw us bid a fond farewell to the head of our open-die forging department Urs Buser after over 46 years at the company.

Urs Buser joined our company as an apprentice in 1966 and trained for four years as a hammersmith. He then worked for several years as a group leader on our 800 tonne open-die forging press. Following a short intermezzo as a lifeguard at the swimming pool in Nebikon, he soon returned to the forging business. For the past 12 years, Urs Buser headed up the open-die forging department and was a member of our management team. In this position, he passed on his wealth of expertise and practical experience to the next generation of specialists in the field. Thanks to his tireless work ethic and thirst for perfection, Urs always made sure that his orders were carried out efficiently and flawlessly. “I am fascinated by forging and still enjoy my work immensely,” said Urs Buser shortly before his retirement.

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Urs Buser for his years of dedication and loyalty to our company. The entire Imbach team wishes him all the best for the next exciting chapter of his life.
