New workshop

The day everybody had been waiting for finally arrived: 21 September 2007! The topping-out ceremony for our new building was duly celebrated in the presence of the Board of Directors, company employees with their partners, craftsmen, planners, the authorities, guests and neighbours.

In his address, Dr. Hans Rudolf Imbach, chairman of the Board and general manager, referred to the background and to the significance of this stage in the company’s expansion

The new workshop is primarily intended to provide additional space for mechanical processing and the dispatch department. The space available is sufficient for the installation of 20 machine tools and more than 300 pallet storage spaces. An air-conditioned room is available for demanding measuring work. Assembly areas for components, programming stations for CNC-machine tools, offices, toilets, changing rooms and restrooms as well as space for the archives have also been created. There is also an extremely well-equipped room for meetings and conferences with international customers.

The new building measures an impressive 55.5 x 40.5 x 9.3 metres and accommodates all mechanical processing work and the dispatch department. In front of this part of the building is the office wing, which is 45.5 x 5 x 6.9 metres in size.
